Dr. Adi Avidor

Dr. Adi Avidor previously led high impact search projects at Google such as Spell Checker, Calculator, and Google Now.

Prior to co-founding Twiggle, Adi co-founded the networking infrastructure engineering group in Google Israel (recognized as one of Google’s top achievements in 2008), and led high impact search projects such as Spell Checker, Calculator, and Google Now. At the age of 18, Adi received his B.Sc. in Math and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, with distinction. Adi went on to receive his PhD in Theoretical Computer Science. He was awarded “outstanding student” distinction (one of five awarded yearly) as an algorithmic researcher in Israel’s famous Technology and Intelligence Unit 8200.

A seasoned entrepreneur and executive, Dr. Amir Konigsberg has lead innovation in search, e-commerce, neurotechnology and the automotive sector.

As Twiggle's CEO from 2014 until 2018, Amir brought over 15 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience in both startups and global companies. Prior to co-founding Twiggle, Amir worked on human machine interfaces for autonomous vehicles at General Motors. These interfaces include search, speech, and multi-model experience interactions. Prior to that, Amir was a Managing Director of price comparison company mysupermarket.com. Amir was one of the founding members of Google’s operations in Israel. He also co-founded and serves on the leadership team of Israel Brain Technologies, an organization founded under the auspices of former Israeli President Shimon Peres. Amir holds a PhD in Rationality and Interactive Decision Making from The Hebrew University and Princeton University. Amir is a thought leader and regular speaker on how artificial intelligence will impact the future of retail. He is the author of more than 25 patents and 15 academic publications.

Amir Di-Nur

VP Research & Development

Amir Di-Nur has over 15 year of experience managing large teams of engineers and data scientists working on machine learning and search.

Amir guides the engineering and technical teams building and refining Twiggle’s powerful machine-learning systems that enhance customer site search on both web and mobile and provide real-time insights. He has spent his career running large teams of engineers and data scientists working on cloud computing, big data, machine learning and search. Prior to joining Twiggle, Amir was the VP R&D at JustVisual, a visual search and image-recognition technology company. Amir joined JustVisual in its early stages and oversaw the development and service maintenance of its visual search engine from the ground up. Amir has also worked on the team introducing reinforcement learning into cloud computing at Intel. He received his B.Sc. (with honors) in Information Systems Engineering from the Computer Science Department at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Amir also served as a Navy Seal in the Israel Defense Forces (1992-1996).

Gaby Koren

Gaby brings over 20 years of executive experience in building global enterprise sales operations.

Gaby leads Twiggle's sales team. Gaby joined Twiggle with over 20 years of leadership in enterprise sales, business development and alliances management experience in North America, LATAM and APAC. She served as VP Americas at Indegy, a leader in Cybersecurity for Industrial applications and held various executive sales positions at RADVISION (an AVAYA company), Panaya (an Infosys company) and NICE Systems, where she led sales teams to exponential growth and solidified the organization’s position as leaders in their respective space and markets. Gaby holds a BA in Behavioral Sciences from the Tel-Aviv College of Management and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Yael is an expert on hiring, scaling and maintaining organizational culture in fast-growing startups like Twiggle.

Yael oversees the team that curates Twiggle’s amazing culture. Yael brings over 13 years of experience in career, management and leadership development in fast-paced environments like Amdocs, Nestle and HE Systems. Yael is an expert on hiring, scaling and maintaining organizational culture in fast-growing startups. She has a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology and a master’s in labor studies, both from Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Udi Manber

Dr. Udi Manber

A search guru, Dr. Udi Manber was the head of search at both Amazon and Google.

Udi Manber is known for his work on search, which he started in the late 80s. After an academic career in Computer Science, he moved to high tech in 1998 and was the head of search for Yahoo until 2001, for Amazon until 2006, for Google until 2011, and for YouTube for a short time in 2014-15. He is now an Adjunct Professor and director of Digital Transformation in the Department of Medicine at UCSF, where he works on software to improve healthcare.

Catherine Leung

Co-Founder of MizMaa Ventures with over 20 years of investment banking experience.

Prior to founding MizMaa Ventures, Catherine served as Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Asia Investment Banking. Under her leadership, JPMorgan was named Best Foreign Investment Bank in Hong Kong for consecutive years by The Asset magazine and Finance Asia. She has advised clients in marquee IPO’s, mergers and acquisitions, debt and derivative transactions. She was named among the Top 20 Women in Finance by Finance Asia in 2011. Catherine has also worked as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman & Co in the United States and London from 1990 to 1994. Catherine graduated from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, with majors in Finance and Accounting. In addition to being on Twiggle's Board of Directors, she is also a Council Member, Standing Committee Member, and Chair of the Institutional Advancement and Outreach Committee of HK University of Science and Technology, member of Executive Board for Asia of The Wharton School, member of The Hong Kong Arts Development Council Trust Fund and member of Opera Hong Kong. She has previously served as Lay Member to the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Advisor to the Securities & Futures Commission REITs Committee.

Pinhas Buchris

Founder of State of Mind Ventures and former Managing Director of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

Pinhas is a recognised leader in the development of Israel’s military intelligence, cyber and technology capabilities and an experienced investor. He was Managing Director of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Commander of a classified technology unit, and head of Israel's famous Technology and Intelligence Unit 8200 - where he initiated many of Israel’s cyber programs. Pinhas was a Partner with Apax Partners and served as a mentor to several successful cyber technology startups.

Yuval Baharav

Yuval Baharav

Founder of State of Mind Ventures, experienced entrepreneur and seasoned investor.

Yuval is an experienced entrepreneur, M&A executive and investor, and former CEO of startups including ooVoo, Xacct and Amdocs Cloud Services. As Head of Corporate Development and Strategy for Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), he led ten global acquisitions totaling more than two billion dollars of investments. Prior to co-founding State of Mind Ventures, Yuval was a Partner with Sequoia Capital in Israel, and an independent angel investor.

Lee Clancy

Experienced entrepreneur and trusted advisor to Naspers’ portfolio companies.

Lee Clancy is Senior Vice President of Product & Mobile Strategy at Naspers, where his team advises on new venture investments and provides operating guidance to Naspers’ worldwide portfolio in the areas of product/UX, technology, marketing/growth, and analytics. Prior to Naspers, Lee was Vice President of Consumer Products at Trulia, at the vanguard of the growing online real estate industry. During his tenure there, Lee transformed Trulia’s product suite to drive mobile usage and monetization, doubled its user base, and served as a key executive through a successful IPO. Previously, Lee guided 3D gaming company IMVU to profitability and 5x revenue growth as SVP of Product Management and GM of Direct Revenue. Fluent in 3 languages, he also held several product leadership roles at Yahoo! and noteworthy Silicon Valley startups. A requested spokesperson at industry conferences and press events, Lee started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a strategy consultant to media/entertainment clients. Lee holds a B.A. from Amherst College, an M.B.A. from Cornell University, and an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Vanja Josifovski

Vanja Josifovski

As CTO and VP Engineering, Vanja leads the Search, Discovery and Machine Learning teams powering the user experience at Pinterest.

As CTO at Pinterest, Vanja responsible for establishing the company’s overall technical strategy as well as leading efforts in the areas of machine learning, search, feeds, and online advertising product development. Prior to serving as CTO, Vanja led the Pinterest Discovery team overseeing content selection for home feed, search and visual discovery, as well as the Growth team responsible for user and engagement growth. Before Pinterest, he worked on large-scale machine learning and information extraction at Google Research for products including Search and Search Advertising. Earlier, he was Senior Director at Yahoo Research where he led the design and initial development of two major advertising platforms. Vanja is a machine learning veteran with a Ph.D. in large-scale database systems.

Dr. Daniel Tunkelang

Dr. Daniel Tunkelang was a founding employee and Chief Scientist of Endeca and has led engineering and data science teams at Google and LinkedIn.

Dr. Daniel Tunkelang was a founding employee and Chief Scientist of Endeca and has led engineering and data science teams at Google and LinkedIn.

Daniel Tunkelang is known for his work on search and particularly query understanding. He joined the founding team of ecommerce search pioneer Endeca in 1999, where he served as Chief Scientist until 2009. He led a local search team at Google until 2010, and then went to LinkedIn, where he was a director of data science and search engineering. He now works with a variety of companies, including Apple, Etsy, Salesforce, and Yelp, to improve their search experience.
